Hello rtournem is issue solved on your side ? We have also delivered a fix on 0.16 release and this is the behavior you should await with those two settings:
- Close windows when quitting an app unchecked + Start beam on opened tabs checked will open beam with pinned tab or opened tabs if there are some.
- Close windows when quitting an app + Start beam on opened tabs unchecked will get you where you were, that's the only combination that is doing true state restoration
- Close windows when quitting an app checked + Start beam on opened tabs unchecked will open beam on journal in any cases
- Close windows when quitting an app + Start beam on opened tabs checked will open beam with pinned tab only if there are some

On the last update 0.15.1 I still have this problem. Maybe this has to do with the preference files. Can I reset Beam preferences?

quentin valero: this was indeed the problem! I set it off but I have to say that this counteract completely your "Start Beam with opened tabs". I hope this will not have unwanted consequences in other apps. Even with the "Close windows when quitting an app" set to on, firefox and pdf expert restore my tabs. Safari doesn't though.

rtournem: That's what I wanted to verify with you. We have a fix coming with 0.16.0 release about this setting which was not took into account for beam for some preferences like window position. It should be available with our Thursday release. Let me also check internally if the system setting should override the application setting. Thanks for your patience !

Hi rtournem could you please open Beam preferences -> General tab -> enable Start beam with opened tab -> close preferences window to apply the changes and let us know if that solved your issue
