It was pretty well hidden for such a necessary feature given the small size of tabs when opening so many of them. I discovered that Firefox and Chrome has the same shortcut that I never used given the size of the url bar. Maybe consider changing the menu name to something like: "modify address"

"open" to me always refers to the apparition of a file selection window, and "location" has no clear meaning to me.

When you are using the browser you can use CMD+L to open change the URL of your current tab.
