Capture from open .pdf
It would be great if all capture options worked in .pdf files opened in Beam.
Do you have any plans for an iOS app? Or a PWA to be able to capture notes from iOS?
Hello ! I would love to be able to see my journal as a collapsable tree (like in worflowy)
See linked notes when visiting website
I would like to see if I have taken any notes on a specific website when I visit that site. This would be helpful in situations where: I want to look at a Jira ticket, take some personal notes about it, and then when I come back to that ticket in the future, see the notes I took OR at least be notified somehow that I have notes about that URL already. This would work across all types of workflows and sites. If I visit a URL more than once, I want to know I already wrote something about that URL.
generate an “app URL” that opens the app to a specific page
It would be nice to generate a custom URL that opens the Beam application to a specific note page. I want to put these URLs into my task tracking application and calendar. The URLs should only work on my local machine, and don’t actually share my note to other people on the web.
webpage [title](link) to heading
In the current version of Beam ( 0.16.1) notes created have the webpage title in paragraph format. For better usability/readability of the exported .md file with other text editors webpage title could be formatted as #heading which would allow the user to fold/unfold the headings in .md editors. Additionally heading structure would improve the readability of the text regardless of folding.
Automatic metadata / organization on captures
Beam is awesome at capturing content, particularly into notes, but saving info to daily notes makes re-discovery a bit more difficult. What I’d love is to have something like an automatic “Captures” page, or some form of UI which aggregates all data I’ve saved across the web, organized by the domain (and ideally, subdomain / route) it was captured on. So for example if i’m on somesite.com and capture something, I can go to somethign like a “captures” section in my notes, see “ somesite.com ”, and any notes I’ve taken there. It’d be _extra_ cool if that was hierarchical, ie captures from somesite.com/category would produce a “category” sub-section of somesite.com Made a video to try and help explain: https://www.loom.com/share/98fb8e6a270749f4874c0c1c7498e315
